Clubs
Clubs meet the first Wednesday of each month during school time (Activity Schedule). Some clubs will also require after school activities and meetings. Students may only participate in one club since all clubs meet simultaneously.
 
Club Name Description
4-H Club 4-H is the largest youth organization in the world.  This club helps to teach students new skills in subjects or projects.  It also helps to improve these skills to make life better.  For those interested in competition, there will be different activities to get involved in throughout the year.  Through 4-H club meetings, competitive events, workshops, camps and trips, you get to meet people from other parts of the county or state.  These projects deal with clothing, food, health, animals, safety, photography, crafts, babysitting, woodworking, and wildlife.  Meets in room 20.
All- Sports Club  The Sports Club gives students an opportunity to explore various sporting activities and events.  Meets in room 9.
BETA CLUB

The BETA club will be charted to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of Coppinville JHS.   Eligibility to join will be based on last year’s grades. To remain in the BETA Club you must maintain honor roll grades each reporting period. Meets in room 1

Bingo Club

Win prizes while learning??? IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Join the BINGO Club to find out how!!!!!  Meets in room 16.

Book Club

If you enjoy reading and would like the opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas about a favorite book in a social setting, then the Book of the Month Club is for you.  You will be able to interact with other avid readers through book talks and possible guest speakers from our local literacy community.  So sign up and join us for a rewarding social experience.  Meets in the library.

Board Game Club

This club offers all interested members an opportunity to pair together to play a variety of pre-approved board games.  Meets in room 7.

Charm Club

The Charm Club offers students an opportunity to explore a variety of  topics related to personal development such as skin care, hairstyles,  make up and others.  Join us as we let the experts in our community share their knowledge.  Meets in room 18.

Coppinville Connections  Choral music students will prepare music, choreography, and drama for community performances.  Students must maintain passing marks in all subjects and avoid office referrals to remain eligible for participation in groups.  You must be enrolled in choral music to join this club.  Meets in the band room
Coppinville Pride

Office assistants and teacher assistants are invited to become  ambassadors for Coppinville.  As new students move into our school, Coppinville Pride members will serve as guides and buddies in order to make the student’s first few days at CJHS the best they can be.  In addition, the club will be visited by community organizations which will tell our new students about our town.  Students must be an office,  library, or teacher assistant to join.  Meets in room 15.

Craft Club

Do you enjoy making things?  Join us in making different items such as pins, candles, ornaments, and other gift items.  A fee will be charged for this club to cover the costs of the items.  Meets in room 17.

Drama Club

The Drama Club gives students an opportunity to express themselves and learn about voice projection.  This club meets, selects officers, reads plays, auditions for parts, and presents a school play.  Meets in the cafeteria.  By Audition only

First Priority

This club is formed to encourage Christian students from Individual churches to come together as one positive peer group.                   Meets in room 8.

Fishing Club

Members will  discuss and learn about fishing techniques and rules.  Students will also learn how to use fishing equipment, such as reels, rods, lures, and boats.  Sorry, no field trips.  Meets in room 1.

Hunting Club

If you enjoy the sport of hunting this club is for you.  In the Hunting club we will explore different types of hunting for the different game found  locally.  Safety will be addressed as well as new laws governing the entire state as well as those specific to Coffee and the surrounding counties.  This is a wonderful way to learn more about hunting or to Introduce yourself to a new and exciting hobby.  Please no Firearms allowed.  Meets in room 5

Journalism Club

The Journalism Club offers aspiring young writers the opportunity to  take part in collecting, writing, and publishing information.  Guest speakers may include current news reporters or television reports.  Meets in Room 2.

Military Club

Go Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.  If you are interested in learning how to serve your country as a future member of the US Armed Forces, then the Military Club wants you!  Come ready to learn much from all of the invited guest speakers of the military community.  Meets in room 22.

Pep Club

The Pep Club helps to increase school spirit among the student body.   Pep Club members must attend all CJHS home basketball games and cheer the boys and girls team on to victory.  Meets in room 18.

Photography Club

Shutter bugs unite.  We will have professional and amateur photographers come in to share their passion and give us advice on becoming better photographers.  We will learn how to use Photoshop on the computer to edit or enhance photos.  We will submit our own photos to an online photo contest, which will be monitored. Meets in room 13

Ping Pong Club

This club will participate in the recreational game of Ping Pong. Slots will be very limited for this activity.  Meets in the gym.

Science Club

This club will participate in the recreational game of Ping Pong.  Slots will be very limited for this activity.  Meets in the gym.  Science cool? ...of course it is! From current electronic technology to stem cell research, science is for everyone! Come and join the fun! Science club members will have opportunities to explore different scientific careers by speaking with science professionals in our community, participating in a scientific project called Toy Challenge and discussing current scientific issues that affect society as a whole.  Meets in room 18

Movie Lovers

Do you love movies? New movies, old movies, adventures, romance, comedy? Would you like to look at how movies have developed and see clips from some of the most famous movies ever made? If so, come join the movie club and enjoy a look at movies young and old!

Student Council

Promoting good citizenship is the goal of this club.  Being a good citizen means more than wearing red, white and blue.  Show your love for America and join the fun.  If you enjoy helping other people the Stars and Stripes Club is where you belong.  Members will help with projects concerning people in need.  Guest speakers from local civic organizations will discuss how students can make a difference in their community.  Together we can make a difference!!  Meets in room 12.

Technology Club (TSA)

The Technology club is open to students who are taking  Exploring Technology/Career Discover during the fall semester or will take Exploring Technology/Career Discover  during the spring semester.  The club forms the base for becoming Technical Student Association (TSA) Chapter.  During the club meetings there is usually a technical competition after a short business meeting.  Time is spent discussing the annual State conference and competition.  Emphasis is on forming the Chapter and TSA business.  There are no local TSA dues; however, there are state and national dues.  Last year the dues were about $15 combined.  Meet in room 11.
