Hi, my name is Susanne Markel. I teach Choral Music at Coppinville Junior High School. I am also an
Assistant Band Director at Enterprise High School and the Girls’ Junior
Varsity Soccer Coach and Varsity Assistant
Soccer Coach at Enterprise High School.
- I have B.S. and M.S. degrees
from Troy University in Psychology and Music
Education.
- The 2007-08 school year will be my
6th year at Coppinville. Before entering the 7th
grade, I taught Music Appreciation and Introduction to Psychology at
Enterprise Ozark Community College.
- About once a year, I teach a Music Class at Huntingdon College, Montgomery.
- I
am married to a very nice man, (he's cute too) Bart.
- I
have two sons and a daughter. They are 19, 17, and 14 years old.
- We
have two cats, Tiger and Tom. (They kindly allow us to live in
their house.)
- My
hobbies include reading, playing music, and soccer.

National testing demonstrates scores rise
proportionately with the length of time spent studying music in school.
The theory of "multiple intelligences" tags music as
one of the separate minds, and shows that being exposed to music strengthens
all other learning forms.
Studying music has been shown to enhance spatial
reasoning ability which is a key for unlocking math and developing the
scientific mind.

Coppinville Connections Club
You must be enrolled in Choral Music to be
a part of this club. We will present several programs with the Drama Club.
