Brief History about Coppinville Jr. High School
Coppinville Junior High School as
we know it today had its origin in 1959 when
Coffee Training School was renamed Coppinville High School and became part of
the Enterprise City School System. The major portion of the present facility
located on Ouida Street was completed during the 1959-60 school year.
In
1963, under the direction of Principal B.F.Garth, Coppinville was accredited by
the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges. Mr. Z.I. Fleming, Jr, a former
graduate of the Coffee County Training/Coppinville High School, served as
principal from 1983-2002. Mrs. Angela F. Seals, a former student of Coppinville
High School, became principal in 2002 and continues to serve in that capacity.
Today, Coppinville Junior High School is considered a one of a kind school where
students are involved in many activities such as technology, band, career
and domestic dynamics, art, band, choral music, physical education, pre-algebra,
English, mathematics, social studies, science, and clubs.
