Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Compton
I am originally from Ozark, AL. I attended Ozark City Schools from kindergarten until I graduated from Carroll High School. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a member of the Carroll High School Band Program, where I played trumpet in the marching band, French horn in the concert band, and trumpet, guitar, and bass guitar in the jazz band. I also served as the Drum Major for my senior year. My love for this program inspired me to pursue a degree in Music Education!
After graduating from high school, I attended Troy University where I earned my Bachelor's in Music Education. During this time, I lived in Troy and was a member of the Troy University "Sound of the South" Marching Band, Campus Band, Pep Bands, Concert Bands, and Symphony Band. I served as one of the mellophone section leaders during my senior year. I also worked at the Troy University Writing Center as a tutor. GO TROJANS!
Upon completion of my degree and teaching certification, I moved to Bainbridge, GA for my first teaching job as a middle school band director. I chose to leave Bainbridge to move closer to home and my family. I began teaching with Enterprise City Schools in 2015, and I LOVE teaching in this school system and living in this community. GO EAGLES and GO WILDCATS!
I am married to Mr. Compton, the band director at Dauphin Junior High School, and am a mother of twins, Oliver and Clover!
